My seminars will be reinitiated after a year of forced interruption. This new program will take us to two of the most beautiful regions of Italy: Tuscany and Sicily.
The first portion of the program have three days, with beautiful sceneries, mountains, Mediterranean sea and breath taken hills with villages and small old towns, one of them immersed in the historically art rich area, were we can enjoy not only the interesting stone searching activities but the fascinating cultural history.
During this first part of the trip, we will visit historical areas and archaeological sites as well as the world famous warm thermal roman waters spas for relaxation.
We will arrive Sicily after an overnight trip, to one of the Italy richest and abundant collecting sites areas were we can found stones.
Some of the stones founded in this area has been exposed at international conventions. One of them won a first price in the exposition of Madrid, Suiseki 2008; the judge was Mr. A. Matsuura.
In reality Sicily has a lot to offer, and there are many places we can choose to visit, enjoy the great Sicilian hospitality, the magnificent Sicilian cuisine as well as Tuscany cuisine. You have to see it, then you will believe it !!! |

Participation Conditions
It is possible, with the agreement of the organisers, to finish the course after the first stage in the south of Italy or to take part only in the second half in Sicily.
As this course involves long journeys at times, the students are asked to arrange a lift amongst themselves or to organise a car that can be divided with one other person. In this case, I can put people in touch with each other.
We are expecting to rent a minivan with driver for the stay in Tuscany, from Gavorrano to the search area (2 days) and for the transfer to Civitavecchia to board the ferry. Therefore a private car is not required.
The cost will be divided between all the participants. In the case of there being 8 people, the price will be about 150 euro per person. This transport will be cancelled if all the participants have enough cars for the transfers.
In Sicily, where it will not be possible to accommodate all the participants in the instructress’s car, it is possible to rent cars for the duration of the stay, to be divided between other participants.
Car rental from Palermo for the 4 day stay will cost about 150 euros at the most, to be divided amongst the occupants.
