VACATION AND SUISEKI
Liguria - September 14 - 23 / 2012
For several years I have organized a course to study and search for beautiful stones by visiting Italian Regions not only rich in material for our collections, but famous for the beauty of nature and the tradition of art , culture and … good food and hospitality.
But in 2012 the course "Holiday and Suiseki" is connected with one of the most important international events, the Crespi Cup, which this year celebrates its tenth anniversary.......

She started active interest in Bonsai in 1988 and Suiseki in 1990. First Italian on the Board of Directors of EBA (European Bonsai Association) was treasurer for 4 years from 1991 to 1994.
BCI Ambassador, since 2003 hase been elected Director of the BCI (Bonsai Clubs International) in charge of suiseki in Europe......

Chinese Viewing stone association convention- Baishan (Jilin Province) 2011
The Congress of the Chinese Viewing Stone Association was held in Baishan - Jilin Province , Northern China near the border of Korea - . Invited to give a lecture on Italian stones I had the possibility to know a new type of Chinese stones very similar to Italian palombini. The difference: they can have many colors, from black to yellow, orange, ocher, green , red and so on . Finally multicolor stones when there is a mix of colors. For hundreds of years these stones have been used to make precious inkstones used by calligraphers, Ink stones must meet certain specific requirements such as: standing up to having quality ink ground on them, to ease in dissolving the ink stick, and the effect on the brush as well as the beauty of the colors of the stone and the possibility of becoming beautiful objects of art themselves.

Da Canh Nguyen Ban
Back from a wanderful trip in Vietnam where I had the opportunity to meet
some suiseki lovers and collectors I had the permit by the author Mr Duc Tam
a movie director who is also one of the main stone collectors in Vietnam to
spread the knowlwwdge of Vietnamese Da Canh Nguyen Ban (suiseki art)
through a DVD dolby sound he produced.
In the movie many Vietnamese stones, exhibitions, Collections and searching
stones in Vietnamese rivers

Suiseki course - September 2009 - Tuscany and Sicily
My seminars will be reinitiated after a year of forced interruption. This new program will take us to two of the most beautiful regions of Italy: Tuscany and Sicily.
The first portion of the program have three days, with beautiful sceneries, mountains, Mediterranean sea and breath taken hills with villages and small old towns, one of them immersed in the historically art rich area, were we can enjoy not only the interesting stone searching activities but the fascinating cultural history....

EBA - ESA 2009
A Lorca it has been held the EBA - ESA 2009 Congress, for what concer the suiseki two exhibitions took place, one dedicated to EBA members, the other for everybody, to which I partecipate with three stones: two Chinese stones from Inner Mongolia and Guanxi and a Corean stone. The Corean stone won the first prize of the exhibition. The scroll behind the stone is a present froma friend of mine, coming from Corea to let me exhibit the stone according to the Corean way.

The wonderful world of Chai Baocheng
Tianjin (Tiensin) , ford ofl Heaven river, is the third city of China for importance, it is located south to Beijin and it is its harbour. In this city lives Mr. Chai Baocheng, an industrialist who made his fortune building heaters.He built his majestic garden in an area of 14 hectars using about 4000 stones of 200 different types making the biggest collection among the gardens.About 600.000.000 RMB ( 60.000.000 euros) has been invested to collect rare stones, ancient trees, flower, patios, paths, bridges, ponds, fishes, rare birds, antiques objects and many more.....

The collection of Wang Changhe
In Tienjin (Tiensin) , lives another well known collector: Mr. Wang. He is vice president of "China ornamental stone"organization and he is the owner of Tianjin Qinianwan Rare stone museum. In China the big collectors tend to build a personal museum, often compound by several floor buildings where they exhibit their stones....
