A wonderful opportunity for suiseki lovers to seek valued stones called “palombini”.
The region we visit is marvellous and the collection areas are in places of rare beauty.
You will have the chance to stay in beautiful tourist resorts and enjoy an unforgettable vacation.
One day will be dedicated to a workshop for cleaning stones and a demonstration how to carve a daiza taught by Andrea Schenone. Participants will have the opportunity to visit one of the finest European stone collections at his house. |

September 09- Arrival of Participants (Genoa airport ) drive to Varese Ligura (highway Genova – Livorno exit Carrodano) Hotel "Amici" . Course presentation - dinner-- half-board http://www.albergoamici.com/index_en.htm

September 10- Breakfast - 8:20 Transfer to a searching area in Liguria, in the late afternoon Lunch at the farmholiday Bocca Moà - 5:30 pm transfer to hotel “Amici”- overnight half board
September 11 – 8.30 Transfer to another area . Lunch at a local Restaurant – hotel “Amici” -overnight half board
September 12 - 7:00 Breakfast transfer and visit Schenone’s collection at Lumarzo – Didactic program.
Morning: workshop on cleaning stones with equipment made available by Andrea Schenone.
Lunch in a local restaurant Afternoon Andrea Schenone demo “How to carve a wooden base”-
End of the stage
Participants wishing to book an hotel in Genoa close to the airport, please let me know I’ll help you. For participants who wish to extend their visit to Italy I can assist them in their projects, travel advice or bookings

Course prices
Course € 180 p.p. plus cover transfers and accommodation of the teacher to be divided among all participants and accompanying persons, which will be accounted for during the course.
Registration for accompanying persons € 50 as contribution to general expenses of organization and management
Extra –Monday 12 Sept. Workshop and demo day at Schenone’s house lunch included € 70 p.p. Accompanying persons lunch Euros 25.

Travel expenses and hotels
Students must provide their own car for the trip to Liguria and for any personal travel.
I can contact participants if it is possible to share the car between some of them
Hotels can be booked directly by the students or by me on request. Final Hotel prices will be announced by April 2011 . Based on current costs is expected for the half board in double room around 55 € pp and 65 pp - Single room supplement from 5 to 10 euro p.p.
